The Director, NIO is interested in filling up the position of Project Assistant under the Project “Fluvial fluxes in coastal and marine environment” (GAP-2027) in the National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa, initially for a period of ONE YEAR. Candidates satisfying the following requirements may attend the walk-in-interview on 04/07/08 along with their bio-data, attested copies of certificates in proof of qualification, age and testimonials.
Project Assistant - II (One Position) @ Rs. 12000/ p.m (consolidated).Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Marine Biotechnology/ Marine Science / Geology/Marine Geology from a recognized University with minimum 55 % marks in aggregate at the qualifying exam.Desirable : Working experience on suspended Flux, Component analysis, magnetic susceptibility of the sediments. Job requirement : The selected candidate will be required to do component analysis, sea truth data collection, component separation magnetic susceptibility, granulation and clay mineral analysis and day to day project work. He/she will be required to go on extensive boat/ship cruises.
