PROJECT ASSISTANT POSITIONS AT NIO

Position of Project Assistant under the Project “Studies on Cobalt Crusts Exploration” (GAP 2117) in the National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa, initially for a period of ONE YEAR. Candidates satisfying the following requirements may attend the walk-in-interview on 29/08/08 along with their bio-data, attested copies of certificates in proof of qualification, age, experience and testimonials.
Post No: 1 Project Assistant-III (ONE Position) @ Rs.14,000/- p.m (consolidated).
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Microbiology from a recognized university with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate at the qualifying exam. Two years experience in collection and analysis of biological samples is compulsory
Desirable: Knowledge in analysis of trace metals, computer applications and data processing.
Job Requirement: Selected candidate will be required to assist the project leader in the collection and analysis of marine samples. The project work involves extensive field observation including oceanographic cruises.
