Position of Project Assistant available at NIO under the Project “Microbial Reference Facility under Coastal Ocean Monitoring and Prediction System in the National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa, initially for a period of ONE YEAR. Candidates satisfying the following requirements may attend the walk-in-interview on 20/10/08 along with their bio-data, attested copies of certificates in proof of qualification, age, experience and testimonials.Post No: 1 Project Assistant-II (ONE Position) @ Rs.12,000/- p.m (consolidated).
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Microbiology / Marine Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry OR B.Tech in Biotechnology from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks in aggregate at the qualifying exam
Desirable: Laboratory experience for at least one year. Candidate should be familiar with lypholization of bacterial extracts, microbiology and molecular techniques and has knowledge of basic computer applications.
Job Requirement: Assisting the scientists in the laboratory and field, participating on cruises, data processing and preparation of reports.
