Training course in ‘user-end bioinformatics’ @ IBAB

Training course in ‘user-end bioinformatics’ @ IBAB
(20 May–19 June 2009)
The bioinformatics resources are increasing in number and diversity. Even the fundamental aspects of research methodology have numerous options. For example, one has to now choose among several primer designing programs, multiple sequence alignment tools, more than 15 gene expression databases, 20+ literature search engines and about 100 resources for protein–protein interaction identifications! IBAB, in association with ‘Shodhaka’, is offering a specially designed program for life science students
and young professionals in the proper use of several fundamental bioinformatics tools and databases through demonstrations and hands-on sessions in different areas, including primer designing, sequence analysis, gene expression calls and identification of molecular interactions.
